We are seeking an Incident Response Service Lead to join our Cyber Operations team based in Newport Beach, CA.
This role can be on-site or hybrid.
As our Incident Response Service Lead you'll play a key role supporting our Cyber Operations team by improving our ability to prepare, identify, and respond to the organization's cyber threats and declared cyber incidents.
When not facing an active incident, you will be working closely with the broader Cyber Operations team where you will build relationships and gain an understanding of their processes and capabilities.
Your day-to-day work will focus on initiatives designed to drive the maturity of our incident response service so that we can minimize impact when we face the inevitable incident.
When a cyber incident is declared you'll get the chance to demonstrate the results of your efforts by playing a key role in guiding the assembled Incident Response Team to successfully analyze, contain and recover.
Our ideal candidate has a strong technical background in SecOps/Incident Response while also having experience or an interest in business operations.
Your technical background will be integral in crafting playbooks, running tabletop exercises, and effectively coordinating our response to cyber threats.
A background or interest in business operations is important in helping you understand who key stakeholders will be to incident response, who our customers are, and how we can best work with all of them to deliver an effective service.
How you will make an impact:
Serve as Incident Commander or Deputy Incident Commander coordinating response of the assembled Incident Response Team to effectively analyze, contain, and recover from declared Cyber Incidents.
Build relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise to both socialize our Incident Response service as well as prepare Incident Response team members to better perform their supporting roles.
Lead incident communications engaging senior leadership and service teams across the globe.
Conduct post-mortem analysis and document incident facts, findings, and recommendations.
Continually improve IR capabilities through the creation and updating of internal playbooks and other IR service documentation.
Coordinate multi-department tabletop exercises.
Develop and report metrics to communicate service performance and risk to stakeholders.
The experience you will bring:

years of experience in Information Security.
4
years of experience supporting the investigation and response to cyber attacks.
1
year of experience leading/coordinating organizational response to IT/cyber incidents.
Understanding of common cybersecurity attacks necessary to determine root cause and coordinate timely effective response.
The ability to tailor your communications and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
What will make you stand out:
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GSOC, GCFE, GCIA, GNFA or equivalent experience and skills Detail oriented mindset necessary to ensure incidents are appropriately documented and follow-up actions are completed.
Deep understanding of Security Operations Center and Incident Response team protocols and procedures The ability to remain calm and work effectively under the pressure of an active cyber incident.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Strong understanding of security operations technologies including SIEM, EDR and orchestration (SOAR).
Splunk Enterprise Security, CrowdStrike, and XSOAR experience is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud concepts and experience performing monitoring and responding to threats in cloud environments.

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting.
The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$131,040.
00 - $160,160.
