Job Description
The senior accountant is primarily responsible for posting various financial transactions to the general ledger, reconciling balance sheet accounts and assisting with the month end close processes. In addition, the senior accountant will prepare various schedules and reports to provide to management.The senior accountant will also assist in external financial reporting activities with various regulators. This team member will also be required to assist with special projects from time to time.
Job Duties:
oActively participate in month end close processes
oAssist with the preparation of monthly variance analysis
oAssist with the preparation of quarterly financial statements
oReconcile balance sheet accounts
oAssist with the automation of closing and reconciliation processes to make them more efficient and accurate
oCross train on other accounting duties and provide backup to all team functions
oSupport special projects as assigned
oPrepare schedules for corporate and external auditors
Job Requirements
oBachelor's degree in Accounting
oDemonstrated understanding of US GAAP
oMust understand and be able to read and prepare financial statements
oMust have working knowledge of foreign currency concepts
oUnderstanding of money services business (MSB) products and financial flows a plus
oExcellent verbal and written communication skills
oExcellent analytical skills with an ability to analyze financial statements and provide explanations for unusual fluctuations
oStrong time management skills with the ability to multi-task
oMust be detail oriented
oDemonstrated proficiency in Word and ExcelEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
