IT Finance Director

The Director, IT Finance is responsible for helping establish and executing on a strategy for Corporate IT financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost management initiatives that support the mission, vision, strategy, and goals of the Corporate IT department and the Company. This position leads the Corporate IT Finance Team and is responsible for developing, operating, and enhancing IT financial management, IT contract/license management, and IT procurement management processes.
Leadership and Staff Development
Lead, challenge, motivate, and develop a unique team of professionals who possess strong business, finance, technology, planning, and communication skills.
Provide leadership, demonstrate and promote cooperation, collaboration and coordination with other areas and organizations in achieving the goals and objectives of CIT, the Corporate Division and Pacific Life.
Establish performance expectations, review employee performance, conduct performance reviews, and make job change, salary and incentive award recommendations for your direct reports and staff.
Delegate important work to staff appropriately.
Develop employee's technical skills, business skills, and soft skills through assignments, training and mentoring opportunities.
Identify and counsel employees on performance, work-related behavior, complaints and grievances.
Recognize employee accomplishments.
Develop subordinate management and staff technical skills, business skills and soft skills through assignments, training and mentoring opportunities.
Represent CIT on various Steering Committees, chairing when appropriate.
Functional Execution & Business Support
Collaborate with the IT management team and business stakeholders to develop processes and tools to support IT financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cost management, and integration with the Company's financial systems
Function as the liaison between the IT department and the various accounting/finance departments, divisional IT departments, business areas, and senior/executive management to coordinate budgeting, allocations, forecasts, and reporting
Analyze/identify cost saving opportunities and develop cost management recommendations for the IT management team
Support the IT Project Management Office team in managing and tracking project budgets
Prepare other ad hoc financial and business analysis as requested by the senior leadership team
Leads a team of finance, purchasing and contract management professionals to ensure optimal efficiency, appropriate controls and proper conformance to policy
Manage and work closely with the IT leadership team on all IT contracts, support agreements, and licenses renewals to ensure on time payments and compliance.
Budget Management
Manage the overall CIT Business and Technology budget.
Scrutinize invoices for accuracy, represent current business needs, and to confirm the work/service identified is the work/service provided by the vendor.
Ensure that staff understands and practices cost effective/conscious behaviors.
Negotiate cost effective contracts and SOW's.
Factor for Success:
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance with at least 3-5 years managing a financial function within an organization and leading a team
Strong budget management experience, including development, coordinating, forecasting and reporting
Strong team leadership and coordination skills, demonstrated ability to organize and align team efforts to department priorities, organize and manage annual budget development and regular reviews/reports
Demonstrated ability to successfully distill complex IT financial information into clear, concise yet comprehensive communication material
Ability to address issues/opportunities from a business perspective and IT Finance best practices point-of-view
Ability to learn and support new financial systems and applications
Effective team/relationship building and leadership skills across divisional and departmental organization structures to accomplish department and enterprise-wide goals
Strong people leadership ability including development, mentoring, coaching, motivation, and ensuring a collaborative work environment
Good analytical and problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
Strong and effective communication skills both verbally and in writing

Degree: BA/BS in Information Technology, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
