A just finished, complete frame-off, open-checkbook, nut and bolt RestoMod restoration by VW specialists D&J Auto of Fountain Valley, CA.
Starting with a USA final edition '79 Super Beetle, the car was completely rebuilt from the ground up.
Everything is either restored or brand new.
Finished in the iconic early 60's VW color, Turquoise Green and contrasted inside with 2-tone grey Allante vinyl interior and a black Stayfast canvas top.
The engine is a new D&J built 2,275cc unit producing about 170hp and has 44mm Weber carbs, Jaycee pullies, and a killer sounding A-1 muffler.
The high-performance gearbox is shifted by a retro Gene Berg lockout short throw shifter and built by DerTrans Axle shop.
This Super Beetle has a killer stance due to its Topline front end and MaxStrut kit and rolls on Porsche Twist 17 rims with Hankook tires.
